Introduce yourself

Hey there,

I would like to know, if you’re willing to share, something about you as a person.

I do not count the people that follow my blog as numbers. You are not a number, you are a person. I am very lucky to have gotten to know some of you as regulars who stop by and interact with me and I greatly appreciate this. It keeps me going.

I genuinely want to know more about you. Why you are here, what you blog about, your favourite sandwich filling, whatever you want to share about yourself.

I absolutely love this platform and I have been extremely fortunate to gain a following of such wonderful people, you being one of them.

So please, tell me a bit about yourself. If you want to link your blog so I can check it out and others too then please feel free.

Until next time, it is very nice to meet you.

  1. Hi. I’m just a girl who likes writing original work. I meant to do mostly prose, but a ton of poetry has seemed to siege the blog. I love reading, and I adore space. Neil Degrasse Tyson is my favourite celebrity, followed closely by Alicia Keys. I love music.

  3. Hey Sara! I’m Kristen– I started my blog about three months ago as a class project. I attend Middle Tennessee State University, and am majoring in English/ History with hopes of being a writer one day! 🙂 I really like the whole theme of your blog, Alice in Wonderland is my all time favorite book and movie! I have written a few things, such as poetry/ thought streams, but haven’t posted any of that to my blog yet, but I will soon! I play piano, paint, spend weekends at the beach, and work with kids at the Boys and Girls club- and that’s my life. It’s great to meet you- I love how blogging connects all kinds of people that may never have had the chance to meet otherwise! 🙂

  4. Hello, and as one of my favorite writers says, Salutations. I’m Justin, sometimes on my blog you’ll see B.L. which is also me. I am not much of a writer, I only write when something sticks out in my head, it’s the same with my drawings. I came really to say thanks for liking my poem.

  6. Hello. I am still very new to blogging/sharing anything about myself outside of my day going “well” or “alright” with select colleagues. I recently went through a very difficult time in my life and realized I needed to make changes or I would not survive. One of those changes was to write/publish poetry and other writing to help channel some of my depression, anxiety, and general thoughts on life. I believe you already follow my blog, at http://objectsandthedistancebetweenthem.wordpress.com

I really enjoy your writing. It comes from a similar place as my own, though admittedly, you are further along than I in your journey towards a positive outlook. I know this is an old post, but I really appreciate your writing and wanted to go back and see where you came from, which I like to do when I find a blog that really hits home.

Please keep sharing – you are an inspiration and a wonderful writer.

    1. Thank you so much. If you enjoy writing then it is a great idea to channel your anxiety and depression through it.

It’ll take time, but I’m sure you’ll get there. It’s taken me over a year to get as far as I have and I slipped up pretty badly last night. I woke up to a full blown panic attack. It had been so long since I had one that I almost forgot what it felt like which made the whole thing worse. Unfortunately I don’t think it’ll be gone for good, but I have this blog to help me take my mind off of it and I think if it works for you too then definitely keep at it. It doesn’t matter what you write, as long as it helps. It is your space and the community here is ever so supportive. Thank you for stopping by my blog today, it means a lot to me. 🙂

      1. Thank you, Sara. I feel like I am making progress, but also have experienced “slips” that are just as damaging in what they do to my confidence as they are to my progress itself. I would offer my advice that you just move past the slips – slips are just that, small movements backwards – and if you recover and continue moving forward, you quickly regain lost ground (though that can be demoralizing in itself…)

Reading through your posts, I am absolutely certain you will recover. You are a strong person with an excellent support network. As little as it might mean, I am a part of that network as are all your readers. As such, I/we are there for you in spirit as much as that is possible. We all raise each other up.
