Transitions

In celebration of the transition into my favourite season, Autumn, I have given my site a little makeover to suit the mood. If you are interested, let me know what you think. You can see itΒ here.

Autumn is my favourite season for many reasons. The beautiful transitions, the colours, the way the world just seems to slowly calm. I find it peaceful and I love to wrap up warm and take a walk through nature and appreciate the world around me. It is not too hot and not too cold, just the perfect temperature. It is also a great excuse to stay indoors on a rainy day, wrapped up warm in a blanket, enjoying your favourite hot beverage and watching a great movie. It is the time to start thinking about all of those wonderful comfort food recipes. There is just every reason to love Autumn.

Also to continue the theme, I am going to attempt a little freestyle poem. An ode to Autumn if you will. So here goes!

Watching the leaves shift from green to gold,
The stunning transition of new to old
Gazing as they gentle glide to the ground
Slowly and graceful, without a sound

The calming feel of the season envelopes me
The sights surrounding, a beauty to see
Wrapped up warm from head to toe
Discovering secrets I am yet to know

Whispers in the crisp, clean air
Dance around without a care
The warmth of the sun, the coolness of the breeze
A moment of calm beneath the trees

I have not written a poem in a while so I am a little rusty!

Until next time, Happy Autumn.

-Sara

P.s – What is your favourite season and why? I would love to know.

  1. Very nice new site design, reflected autum πŸ‘πŸ˜‰ I live in two seasons country, so there’s no autum here.. but yes I do love autum and then can not wait for spring 😊 since I do not really like winter…

  2. Autumn is my favorite season, and October my favorite month. I find it to be the most colorful of all the seasons, and in October things begin to become festive. Also in Autumn there is often a sense of new beginnings — moreso, for me, than spring. Everybody comes back after the summer, the University is hopping again, new fresh faces abound. It’s a nice place to be, where I live, in Autumn. And thank you for your beautiful poetry.

  3. The title in itself spoke. I enjoy transitions because they mean growth. In each action is always potential to learn something new. Like the smell in the air as the new day begins or the tunes that the birds chirp! I never really studied my favorite seasons in depth. Something new for me to try. Peace and Light
