Little Nightmares

Nightmares raid my sleep again
Mind creating fears
I can not fathom why again
Wake up close to tears

They always want to capture me
To torture me
To punish me

Always close to meeting my end
But my nightmares are my only friend

Tricked into a deep slumber
Through my mind I do wonder
Then suddenly they pull me under
Dragged awake with screams like thunder

How I wish for peaceful sleep
But worry not I do not weep
For tomorrow I will try again
As nightmares are my only friend

Loved the poem especially this bit and for what it’s worth, I hope you sleep better πŸ™‚

  2. And I wonder why I tend to forget everything I dreamt of ….

I hardly do remember what made me jump out of bed last night πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Nicely expressed… and Kudos to your courage to face them.

  3. Hi Sara,

“β€œI believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?” John Lennon
