Hello Friends,

Today I was perusing some blogging assignments and to sign up for one, you have to specify what category your blog falls into. Upon scrolling through the different sections of the blogging world, I realised something, I do not belong in any of them.

It is not uncommon for me not to fit in, so it is no surprised that I categorically do not fit into the blogging world either. That is not to say I do not feel apart of the community, because in actual fact, I feel like I belong here more than anywhere else.

When I stop and think “What is my blog about?” I do not really have a straight answer in mind. With that said, what I want it to be is a place to feel creative, inspired and open. For not only myself, but you who take your time to visit and read the posts I write.

I think for the most part, my blog covers mental health, creative writing, with a hint of personal articles. I like the way my blog has headed this past year and as it has flourished from a seed, I want to spend more time here and add more in the way of creativity. I want to discover what I could be good at, whilst sharing experiences and hopefully advice along the way.

After a year, I may not fit into a particular box right now, but I am enjoying the journey of finding where I belong with my little corner of the internet.

I would love to work with some brands and authors to share with you some awesome discoveries. One step at a time, of course!

Until next time, it doesn’t matter if you don’t fit into a box, you are always welcome here.

  1. Sara, You make a great point. This, in my opinion, is the beauty of blogging. One doesn’t have the fit into any category to be able to express what is valuable to their sensibilities. I would say that I enjoy your blog, you’re honest, as much as I can tell lol. Your topics and posts are interesting and touching to me. The blogs that are able to be categorized are commonplace and less interesting to me.

  2. Why must society always feel the need to neatly pigeon hole everything and gift it a label. I for one welcome diversity and individuality. A blog should be flexible and forever evolving, as we are as people. Well that’s my opinion anyway.

  3. I keep reading these posts that say that if I don’t find my niche (i.e. don’t fit my blog into a specific shape), my blog will fail. Your blog shows that it’s not always the truth. So here is to us and our blog being “Other” category.
