Non-Existent

I exist solely in the digital world
My voice is heard
My vision seen
Understood

In the real world I am non-existent
I see nothing
I am nothing
I feel
Nothing

Despair bubbles up inside
Burning me from the inside out
Cheeks hot to the touch

Tears evaporate on contact
Normality is a stranger
One I thought I would get to know

Nobody wants me
But
How can you want somebody
Who does not exist?

  1. The fact you feel despair is proof that you exist. Things that don’t exist don’t feel. So just in the writing of this you are taking good steps. Keep it up. You aren’t afraid to dive into the depths and it shows with your excellent poetry.

  2. There’s no way to explain myself
    Nowhere to begin
    I am just the camouflage
    For he who hides within

    I have no identity
    I have no address
    And there is only nothing
    Within the nothingness

    The universe is endless
And here I stand so small
    I’m here, I’m there, I’m everywhere
    But I’m nowhere at all

  3. Richmond Road did not put you to shame, he merely added his complement of words behind yours. This was beautiful Sara.

These are your words and irreplaceable. They are, as you are, magic.
